Look below for some pictures of a few Derby City Dragons at the Hildegard House Friday, Dec 15th, 2024.
The Derby City Dragons were chosen from 7 nonprofit groups nominated by residents of the Summit Gardens, which is composed of 129 homes located off US 22. The development is approximately 10 years old and has been doing a charitable giving event each holiday season for at least the last 5 years.
When we heard we were chosen for the donation, we decided to pay it forward to the Hildegard House!
Donations included cases of water, toilet paper, paper towels, cans of ginger ale, multiple snacks, puddings, apple sauce, cleaning supplies and other items from their needs list. AND $1,645 dollars in Kroger gift cards with one additional card of unknown value. Very generous people!! Truly a love thy neighbor community!!
Thank you to our sweet dragon sis, Sheila VanVactor, for the nomination and thank you to the Summit Gardens, from the bottom of our dragon hearts for this super generous donation given to the Hildegard House!
Please check out the Hildegard House, this is an amazing nonprofit, they provide a home and compassionate care for individuals at the end of life.
